Privacy policy

Last updated: August 2026

In short

No account, no database, no advertising, no audience measurement and no third-party script. The site cannot recognise you, cannot follow you from one site to another, and has nothing to sell about you.

Typefaces are served from this site's own domain, so displaying a page sends no request to any third party.

What is stored on your device

Two items, both strictly necessary to the service you asked for. Neither ever leaves your browser.

  • cs-gamedle:v1 (local storage) — your streak, your score, your record and today's puzzle progress. Without it, refreshing the page would lose the puzzle you are in the middle of.
  • NEXT_LOCALE (cookie) — remembers whether you chose English or French, so you are not sent back to the wrong language on your next visit.

Clearing your browser's site data erases both. Your streak and record go with them, and cannot be recovered: there is no copy anywhere else.

Data processed by the host

Like any website, this one is served by a host, Vercel Inc., whose servers log technical connection data including IP addresses. That processing rests on the legitimate interest of keeping the service running and secure. The publisher does not exploit those logs.

Data about professional players

The games are built on data describing 117 real people — professional Counter-Strike players. This is the only personal data the site processes about identified individuals.

For each player, depending on the game: nickname, nationality, current and former teams, role, age, number of Majors and tournaments won, career prize money and notable achievements.

Lawful basis: legitimate interest (article 6.1.f GDPR) in running a free, informational game about a public competitive scene. The data concerns professional activity carried out in public, comes from results published by the scene itself, chiefly https://www.hltv.org/, and includes nothing about private life.

Any player concerned may request access, correction, or object to the use of data concerning them, by writing to marc.gapasinpro@gmail.com. Requests are handled promptly and free of charge; a correction usually means editing one line of a data file.

Your rights

Because the site holds no account and no server-side record, there is nothing about you to access, export or delete on request — the data is on your own device, under your control, and you can erase it at any time from your browser settings.

For anything concerning the host's logs or the player data, write to marc.gapasinpro@gmail.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the CNIL (cnil.fr).

Changes

This policy may change if the site does — for instance if audience measurement is ever added, which would require asking for your consent first. The date at the top of the page tells you which version you are reading.
